VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, December 14th 6pm-9pm Kitchen Ambush and Stratford University with Gotham Steel Pans Present the Inaugural Kitchen Ambush Holiday Pastry Showdown from 6pm till 9pm at Stratford University, Virginia Beach.

Kitchen Ambush is going to Stratford University for a Holiday Pastry Showdown. Sponsored by Gotham Steel Pans. Wasserhund Brewing Company is providing the craft beer for ticket holders. The three competitors Spoon Dessert Cafe Genell Roder, Tessa’s Creations Tessa Morgan, and Sodexo USA Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center’s Shanitha Little will go head to head with 2 1/2 hours on the clock.
​Guidelines for the competition are as follows. This competition follows a kitchen Ambush version of a baking competition. Three bakers have two and a half hours to complete two rounds. The first round challenges to create unique cookies the second round test their cupcake and display skills. A Kitchen Ambush components is added to each round that remains a mystery until the round begins. There are three judges from The Culinary World here in Hampton Roads. This panel includes; Judy Cowling Writer for The Virginian-Pilot Media, Marc Frank owner of Spark & The Wizardbug Podcast, Carla Vance Hesseltine Owner of Just Cupcakes.

The competition takes place at Stratford University, Virginia Beach in their culinary theater. Seats/Tickets are available for 80 live studio audience attendees as well as thousands watching online live. Each competitor showcases their business by providing 100 small bite-sized samples for Ticket Holders. The judging criteria and mystery items will be announced the night of the event as the competition begins; ambush style. The entire live streamed event is viewable through multiple social media outlets.
