First of all, we must mention the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. Not just one of the top rescue squads in the nation, but one of the best in the world. Unlike other Atlantic beaches that are far from even the closest fire station, our rescue squad is located blocks from the oceanfront and Virginia Beach General Hospital (with Level 2 Trauma Center) is a short 10 minutes away.

We also have one of the best pediatric hospitals in the country, Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters, located in Norfolk just 20 miles away. There are minor emergency and family care centers located throughout the city, and emergency services are available by dialing “911.” Special services such as dialysis and emergency dental are available as well.
