Put on your fanciest race day hat and join your fellow Derby revelers to watch “The Run for the Roses” on the Cavalier Great Lawn, against the backdrop of our idyllic Oceanside setting.

The Great Lawn will be host to so much more than just the live stream of the Kentucky Derby, so don your Race Day best to cheer on your thoroughbred selections, in Cavalier fashion. Enjoy an afternoon of complimentary Tarnished Truth mint juleps, photo ops with live horses, and live entertainment by the BJ Griffin Band. Emerson’s Cigars available for purchase and spirited cash bar refreshments will be available all afternoon while you place your race bets and enter prize raffles. We’re excited to announce Cavalier prizes for Best Hat, Best Outfit, and Raffle Horse Betting Winners!

Ticketholders can indulge in a hand-crafted menu of Traditional Derby Day Buffet Stations, including (but not limited to): Kentucky Benedictine Spread & Crudité, Southern Deviled Eggs, Chef’s Signature Charcuterie & Regional Cheese Boards, Churchill Downs Miniature “Hot Brown”, Southern Pulled Pork Sliders, and desserts such as Old Cavalier Bourbon Balls and Ava Vodka Lemon Squares. And so much more.
