Today is National Rubber Ducky Day. Did you know that this toy was first designed in 1880 when rubber manufacturing began. The toy was patented in 1928 by Landon Smart Lawrence. It was a little heavier back then. He put a weight in the bottom to make sure it would always stay upright. Hail to the ducky!
Friday Funnies.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing this week of Alice Walsh. Mrs. Walsh was a long-time member of the Back Bay wildfowl Guild and a volunteer at all of the Mid-Atlantic Wildfowl Festival. She developed and ran the Back Bay Wildfowl Guild's Annual Auction for many years. She was also a dedicated educator and was well-loved by her students, teaching at Linkhorn Park Elementary for many years. She was married to our Board Member, Bill Walsh for more than 60 years. Alice passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 5th. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.
Participating in this wonderful Bridal Show. Thank you so much Coastal Magazine.
A little Friday humor.

We agree. Small museums are the heart of history. Virginia Beach has multiple historic houses & museums of which two are at the VB oceanfront within blocks of each other. Strolling the boardwalk? Stop by and take a step back in time. Rocking chairs are always available on our porch. Don’t forget to like and share. #visitvirginiabeachSmall museums matter. Find them. Visit them. Put some money in their jar. Buy something from their gift shop. Small museums matter. #VisitVABeach ... See MoreSee Less
