Beautiful, as always. My mom used to take us there as children. That was long ago!! Not a State Park, at the time, but we could still have cookouts and enjoy a beautiful beach. My mom said one reason she liked it was because the stinging nettles didn’t seem to be there... especially, in August, when they were quite prominent.
This beach does have gorgeous sunsets ...💙💛
Beautiful! I miss you First Landing State Park! ❤️❤️

Wow. This would have so helped when we took my mom in Florida to the beach in the beach wheelchair. Even though the tires were inflatable and the frame was lightweight it was still so hard to push.
Oh I love this. All of our beaches should have this.
Love! This should be at all beaches.
Wow! That's fantastic!
Amazing. My mom struggles by the time she walks all the way up the boardwalk. What a wonderful idea! Access for all!
So excited for this! IS this by the bathrooms? Thank you VB for helping those of us with disabilities be able to make memories with our families
I saw these in Cape Charles and loved them! Excited to see them here in Va Beach!
I was there in June! Nice
How wonderful is this !!!! Thank you all for making it accessible to those in need .
I know I’ll need this one day! Such a great idea!!
That's wonderful 🤗
This is awesome, definitely got to to my daughter there!! ❤️😊
Amazing! Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing. It’s a wonderful thing
This is another great thing Va Beach has done. So many handicapped people still love to go to beach.
Thank you so much
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t even express how much of a huge deal this is for me and so many others with disabilities! Such a game changer!!!!
Love it! Now can we find a way to protect the paws of our furry friends? Every weekend I see pets struggling to walk on the unbearably hot sand. Sand that I cannot tolerate without protection. Heart breaking 💔
I love this!!! 💞
This is great! Even awesome for those with mobility issues who aren’t wheelchair dependent yet!
Makes me want drop everything and go check it out!!!

Not sure who all is still there for the staff, Cindy was the true superwoman of the cabins, getting them ready for the next guests. John was like the master of wizards knowing every inch of that park and how to keep it up and running. He would give you a look that was so scary it would make kittens cry, that is until he smiled and the missing teeth made him look like a goofy Santa. Bob the English teacher who would sit in his chair at his second or maybe third job (parking lot attendant) writing and thinking up jokes to get everyone laughing at the park, Charlie, the cool super cop with his great personality and super buffed and shiny bald head. I miss all these fine people, they were a treat to work with and made up an outstanding staff of helpful and knowledgeable people devoted to First Landing State Park. Let's hope this hurricane passes by keeping you all safe
