Gallery Performance: Embodied Social Movements
THU, JUL 18
6:30PM
FREE

Join us in the galleries for a performance inspired by our exhibition The Rest of History that explores collective movement and invites us to dive deep and honor our human nature. Our history is more than what is written--it runs through our veins and is passed from generation to generation through our DNA. Our bodies remember the codes of power as much as they realize the codes that recall trauma. Sometimes the codes are even mistaken for each other, and on the outside, it causes us to relive past stories and fall into old cycles. How we engage in powerful movement is how we rewrite the code for a powerful life. The performance will be led by Adrianne “Namaslay” Burke who uses yoga and conscious movement to promote social change, peace, and overall wellbeing.
