Food was ok. Not great but not bad. They could probably cut their menu in half and still have plenty of food to offer and be able to focus on putting out better quality food. The service was strange. The restaurant was pretty empty and we were placed in this sectioned off area without music that was about 5 degrees colder than the rest of the place. Also all of the TVs were off. We were the only ones in this section. Our waitress was nice but didn’t bring us our check after we said we didn’t want desserts. We had to get up and find her. It just felt like we were thrown in a corner and forgotten about.
Grace was my waitress... very nice and pleasant.... I had the Flounder, it was fixed nice, crunch, not to hard... the hush puppies were amazing.... had to share one with my wife, Lol. My wife had the Chicken tenders.. ice and golden.... good helping of chicken.... the tenders weren't small either..
We checked this place out prior to a concert because it was close by and they have a shuttle bus for $5 a person! The place was semi empty when we arrived and they were somehow out of menus, which was bizarre. Maybe they were getting cleaned? We opted to sit outside since we didn’t want to wait on a seat inside. The patio is smoker-friendly. Took a bit for a server to come out but she was lovely. She brought us menus and ordering was easy. The menu options are awesome!
The atmosphere was laid back and as we sat there, the place filled up SUPER fast. We waited quite a while for food but like I said - they were busy - so we were understanding and patient. However, the food was mediocre at best. Out of the four of us, none of us enjoyed our dinner. I worked in restaurants for years so I’m grown accustom to not complaining unless it was truly awful OR unless I was asked. The waitress came out and asked how the food one and one of my friends chimed in and admitted it wasn’t all that great. She asked us to elaborate and we all kind of chimed in agreement. My friend’s hamburger was flavorless, my scallops were wayyyy overcooked, and the two other women I were with didn’t find their plates very appetizing. I actually finished mine because I had limited options on the menu (I was specifically looking for “light” food choices) and we all emphasized that we weren’t looking for any comps, we just wanted to be honest.
The waitress ended up letting the manager know and he came out to speak with us. We told him the same thing we said to her and he offered to discount the bill. We pushed back and I even said “I mean, I ate mine so it’s really okay.” He pushed back and insisted and apologized. We figured it was a one off scenario so we will definitely go back. It was very nice of management to discount our bill and we were all so grateful and surprised. We still tipped appropriately and the overall experience wasn’t bad. Hopefully we will have better luck with the food next time!
This was a late night find and to our surprise Tuesday’s are appetizer nights. The potato skins and steak bites were amazing!! Ask for extra cheese on the skins. Our server Grace was nice and engaging. Good food, good time, and we will definitely be back!!!
Had the fish sandwich ... Super... Twice the size of the bun. Served hot. Only down side is that it is usually a little loud that makes conversation difficult. Our server was really attentive without hovering around.
