Taste Unlimited – Oceanfront
Region: Oceanfront North (26-40), Virginia Beach
Cuisines: Fast Food
Born from a craving to bring the finest food and wine to Coastal Virginia, Peter Coe opened the first TASTE UNLIMITED in Virginia Beach in 1973. And so began their pioneering journey to enhance the collective local palate. In 2006, the Pruden family jumped aboard to carry the traditions forward for another generation.
Their commitment to high quality foods does not end with their prepared foods. The retail shelves are chocked full of exclusively curated foods from artisanal producers, with an emphasis on the fine food and wine made right here in Virginia. They also feature farmstead cheese, cured meats, craft beer, wine, and gourmet provisions from chocolate to olive oil. We seek out foods made on family farms and by small producers who are zealous about preparing foods of integrity using traditional methods. They even have formed close relationships with these producers and offer regular tastings to expose diners to their products and share the story behind them.

I enjoy taking time out of my day to go to Taste. More so in the fall then the summer due to the fact I can never get there because of summer traffic by the ocean front is the worst in the city really. However they have some amazing food and sandwiches. My favorite is the Apple, Ham, and Apple house sauce on a hot croissant, it is to die for. I love the selection of Virginia Nuts at this location as well as the comfortable dinning area. Go to Taste for good food and some specialty foods if you want to try something different in your life.
Ambience good. Awesome decor. But food left a lot to be desired. I ordered pulled pork sandwich. Ready-made buns, Pork mixed with mayonnaise. That is it. And the quantity was to little as compared to the price. Would not recommend.
Hey Taste, I love ya - really I do but when I call at 10:30am to place an order for 1 sandwich, for pick up (I'm across the street) and am told it will take 45 min to an hour, unacceptable. Reason given, we have tournament orders. Which means nothing to me. I use to work there in high school - believe me, I would have made this order happen for a local/loyal customer. 1 sandwich for pick up. Not a whole lot to it. I will rethink my lunch orders in the future.
Wife and I came for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Great value for food and very high quality ingredients. Great selection of beers. Highly recommend this spot for lunch.
Good, real food & quick service. I always want to buy more items than whatever I entered intending to purchase. Get a cream cheese brownie, though. Your mouth will be happy.
