Hooters of America, LLC is the Atlanta-based operator and franchiser of over 430 Hooters locations in 28 countries. The privately held corporation owns 160 units.
The first Hooters opened October 4, 1983, in Clearwater, Florida. The Original Six founders were quickly detained for impersonating restaurateurs, but fortunately for America, they were soon allowed to go about their business. During its history, the Hooters concept has remained true to its roots. The current logo, uniform, menu and ambiance are all very similar to what existed in the original store. This consistency is understandable given Hooters continued success and high ranking amongst the industry's growth leaders.
The casual beach-themed establishments feature music, sports on large flat screens, and a menu that includes seafood, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and of course, Hooters original chicken wings. Others have arrived, departed, and even flat out copied our formula, but we remain the genuine original.

Ha! My note X boyfriend took me here during our vacation and found the service to be excellent! Our waitress was adorable and I like the women didn't flirt with the men that woman were there with. They made everyone feel comfortable. I will say you could see this wasn't a popular place for some of the women there, myself I'd return in a heartbeat, it was a great time!
Great burger, wings, fries, and tator tots. The cheese was a bit too spicy for me (I can’t handle spicy food) but my boyfriend and friend loved it. We liked the desserts we got as well – chocolate mousse cake and caramel fudge cheesecake. I have been to Hooters before but this was my first time at this location and I think it was my favorite. I liked the atmosphere here better. The only downside was this one did not have the bigger screen TVs I am used to but they still had plenty of sports on TV that I could watch. Great service – quick and friendly. Drinks were always filled. Pricing was good for the amount of food I got. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms.
Had a great time. Watched the Virginia Tech game. Mackenzie was a fantastic server and serena was great too. They were very sweet to our 4year old son. He had a blast talking with them. Thank you both for making it a great visit.
Definitely a nice place near Virginia Beach. We went on a wing night where they had a sale it was very busy there so service was pretty slow. . But understandable considering. Reason I rated four stars is because one of the people that we were eating with some of their chicken wings came out raw. The server did remove it from the bill.
My family was here on a Tuesday all you can eat wing night. First thing we noticed was the boneless wings were cold when served but the overall taste wasn't bad and we really didn't want to complain. Second thing was once the first round of wings were completed our waitress never asked if we wanted more. Our waitress continued to fill drinks at surrounding tables but never once asked if we were done. Very disappointment in the service and food. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back.
