Soya Sushi Bar and Bistro
Service was really great and fast. I didn't have to wait for a long time. The server was really accommodating granted that she's the only one there, and serving multiple tables.
in VA over the weekend and was to experience some nice sushi. It was right by the hotel and was very good. Server was nice and knew all the options and the sushi was good too got the Bento Box a sushi burrito the volcano roll.
Ordered food to go. The server who bagged our food was very nice. Unfortunately the hibachi steak was supposed to be medium well and it was rare. They were out of my order of baby octopus but didn't inform us about that on the phone. When we called to tell them we were missing it, they said they were actually out of it but that they hadn't charged us for it (??) They said to come back and they would take replace it with something else. We weren't given an itemized receipt though and our bill was high so I don't know if that's true. We tipped 20% so I would hope they wouldn't have just said that. When I showed up again, nothing was prepared, they were too busy to help me and one of the servers told me with attitude that they had not charged us for the octopus. So I guess I should consider myself lucky that although I didn't have anything to eat for dinner at least I wasn't out the seven dollars? Just overall a frustrating and annoying experience. Maybe dining in is better but we won't be back to try it.
Great atmosphere and great sushi. The Atkins roll is by far my favorite. Frank was great and attentive. The sashimi was fresh and tasty.
The server obviously did NOT want to be at work that day. Extremely inattentive, short with words, etc. The food was tasteless, edible, but not much flavor. It probably took 30 mintues to get a drink, another 20 to order and then we couldn't get the guy to stop so we could ask for the check. Very nice restaurant in the way that it is clean and attractive, but the service and food was nothing to write home about. I won't go there again.
