This is a great thing but I'm a GM for a Choice Hotel and I can't get hand sanitizer ANYWHERE
You need to have a discussion with the Quality Inn in downtown Mobile, AL. I sent a complaint and pictures of how filthy that whole place was and I still haven’t had any response.
I only hope this is really done .
My husband and i reserved a king room suite with Jacuzzi tub. I called several hours before check in to make sure everything was ok with the room. I was told yes.. When we drove 2 hours and ready to check in we were told the suite we had reserved was broken into and the maintenance had not gotten to the room yet.. Why wasnt i told this hours before .. When i called. We had to downgrade to a room with a queen. Charged basicly the same amount. As she said thats the lowest rate she can give us.. Than they send us to room 143 and that room is being cleaned by a hotel maid. So we have to walk back to the front desk and wait another 10 min to give us a diffrent room. Definitely will not be coming back...
I loved working for Choice Hotels. However I took a front desk position in Winston Salem NC with Rodeway Inn. This motel should be SHUT Down. I resigned my position due to 27 documented overdoses in 90 days. Bed bugs. And the cleanliness of the rooms were awful. Especially during shut down. The owners did not care because they hid in there apartment. I was given finger nail polish in a spray bottle for santizer!!!!!
As a Platinum member we stayed at a Choice hotel recently and were disturbed by 1) front desk had no social distancing, no plexiglass, and clerk was not wearing a mask 2) clerk asked me to sign the registry on sheet with a pen that had been used on the front desk 3) no mention of what cleaning procedures they were doing,4) understand no hot breakfast but come on you can wrap muffins and not just slices of bread or buy prepackaged danish..or how about a hot breakfast with refrigerated breakfast sandwiches to warm in room microwave5) price was the same and no hot breakfast so we had to stop at McDonalds and buy our own....Room seems clean but who knows. Was disappointed and expected better. Would love someone from Choice to respond to me.
Meanwhile i had bedbugs in my bed at a quality inn 2 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. I have tons of videos of the absolutely disgusting room.

avoid choice hotels! They SCAMMED me out of 80.00. I made a reservation because had to go out of state to attend a funeral but then Covid came into play the funeral couldn't happen and so cancelled the reservation. Thye charged my credit card anyway and insisted that I had reserved 2 rooms and only cancelled one. The 2nd one that wasn't reserved was charged as a no show. I appreciate the veterans discounts at most of your hotels, but its usually a lower discount than that if AAA, and AARP. Anyone can sign up for those, but few signed up to serve. It would be nice to feel the respect you say you have for veterans.

Every since this Coronavirus hit I been staying at comfort in and suits presidential In North Little Rock! I don’t have family out here I go to work everyday busting my ass just so I can have somewhere to lay my head, and now here it is my room door has been unlocked for three days! My boyfriend text me while I’m at work telling me how he been waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half with no help! The manager knew about the problem and did not want the front desk lady to help out! He was rude and an ass! So I decided to say something last night after another 12 hour shift and I complained about the situation and I was told once again it will be fix in the morning now here it is my door is still unlocked so I go down stairs again and complain and was told the same damn thing, he’s up there now fixing it ok cool I go back up to my room and my room door is still unlocked and that’s not safe nor do I feel like they don’t give a damn! So with all that being said I’m paying 80 a night to sleep in an unlocked room while the employees are going home to locked doors

Been a gold member for a while and it seems the promotions have been far and few between, even before COVID-19.
The best staff by far is at Quality Inn in Monroe, MI. We lived there for 5 months while my husband was working in the area. Dog friendly.

Typically we have a very good experience but May 8th 2020 in Louisville was not the best. We have stayed there many times, but this time, there were some issues. We reported it to the desk, so hopefully it has been addressed. This was the Dixie Highway Comfort Inn. We have photos if you would like to see them.
We are at a Quality Inn right now in Arkansas. It has been a fabulous stay. Very clean!

Been a Diamond member for about 14 years still stay every week. Is there going to be a summer promotion? And when do I earn Lifetime Diamond? Hilton has already done that.

Never had an issue with cleanliness at a Choice Hotel
Commitment to clean is a joke at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Cheyenne, Wyoming. First thing the front desk person (Luke) asked me if I was sick because I was wearing a mask. What sort of question was that. We are in a pandemic! Then he committed that only sick people wore mask in Cheyenne. Then we get our room and there was dog hair all over the couch. We called Luke at front desk and he came in to the room and looked at couch and said that is nothing, usually it’s worse! Then he took the hair from couch and took it over to our dog and said this is her hair! Our dog is 12 years old and has hip issues. She can’t jump!! We have to pick her up. Basically calling my wife a liar. My wife asked for another room and he walks off and then called my wife rude! He finally agreed to give us another room and that room was also dirty. We asked for the manager to call us and he said he was the manager. My wife asked for a manager above him, he said no one was above him. I later asked him if he was the General Manager and he admitted no he wasn’t. My wife want Luke to call the GM so we can talk to him. He said he emailed the GM ( who happens to be the franchisee) no response from the GM. I am a gold member and was platinum last year and I never experienced this horrible experience in a Choice Hotel property or any other chain. We asked for a bottle of cleaner so we can sanitize the room surfaces. If the upper management reads these comments, we have a lot more detail to share of this place! We have pictures of the filth and even bugs we saw on the desk of our room but can’t seem to post her.

choice hotels was one of our go-to places for staying out of town for vacation family trips girls weekend away but after today not happening. tried to book a room for next weekend for girls weekend and the website kept telling me they couldn't do the reservation however it kept taking my money from my checking account $2,352. Called customer service and there's nothing they can do and still don't have the satisfaction of having a reservation for next weekend. Maybe it's time to go get a Wyndham rewards card.Then my business will start doing things with them even though they might cost a little bit more. then members with choice rewards or several years and my husband is a diamond holder doodle his job that's traveling.
Was definitely our go to choice until today, my husband travels all over the US and he couldn’t log into our app to look and reserve hotels, he prefers reading the reviews. Called customer service and they would not help without speaking to him who is working and can not call, but I have made and cancelled reservations before with no issue, and all i was asking for is why we wouldn’t never receive the email to change password and I needed help with it. I have all of our information and card info but no so we will have to use our IHG or Hilton we use many but always was pleased with rates and stays with Choice.
So now after being on the phone all morning long me and my vetran husband are not getting a refund no one cares I couldnt get a room that was guaranteed till 7am and told to sleep outside. The manager of customer service says since its a franchise she cant refund me she cant move the reservation she cant comp or even discount a room. They said maybe if im lucky i can get a refund at 1030 when the next manager comes in. I have made 7 phone calls and lost 9 hours of my life. I have never been treated so poorly. As a business owner and someone with over 20 years of business custom service and legal experience i cant believe this. Seriously. I will be speaking with my attorney if someone doesn't contact me with some sort of fix. I have been stolen from charged for a room which I was denied and then later (while I am still in the parking lot of the hotel) told I didn't show up for. I am so disappointed in your company.

First, i want to start off by saying that i have just recently relocated to kentucky from missouri. I have been very loyal to choice, having stayed in their brands of hotels EVERYDAY since 02/13/2020, just shy of 3 months. I stay in hotels quite often as my home situation is temporary. I am not only diamond status with choice privileges, but also have achieved diamond status with Wyndham Rewards. Choice just recently ran a promotion...here are some quotes directly from their FAQ section of this promotion: "As a Choice Privileges® member, two separate stays between March 7 and April 26 can earn you enough points to redeem for a future free night at over 1,000 hotels worldwide." "Stay’ = 1+ consecutive nights at all Choice Hotels NOTE: Consecutive nights at the same hotel only count as one stay, regardless of check-ins or check-outs" "You can earn points for an unlimited number of bonuses! After you register, you’ll earn points for a future free night after every two separate qualifying stays." Now, based on their definition of a 'stay', even though the hotel owner has been checking me out/checking me in in an effort to prevent me from receiving & being protected by tenant rights (which is not legal and can potentially be a $500 fine for each time this is done), they have credited me for earning '4' qualifying stays. Even though I stayed in a choice hotel all 50 days the promotion ran, I only earned enough to redeem this promotion two times. This is where i get very, very confused, I have called customer service reps multiple times and have not been explained anything. The hotel I am staying at requires 16,000 Choice privilege rewards points to redeem a Free night. So, based on my interpretation of the promotion and its terms, once a Choice member completes two qualifying stays, then they will receive enough rewards points to redeem a free night. Surely, the amount of points given would be accommodated on how many rewards points the hotel you stayed at requires, which in this case is 16,000 points. For my first two stays, i received 5,500 rewards points from the promotion. (WAIT WHAT?? A free night is 16,000 points....?????????) For my second two stays, i received 6,000 points. So in total, after receiving the bonus two times, which according to the promotion i should receive enough bonus points for two free nights, when in reality i only received 11,500 rewards points, which is not enough rewards points for a SINGLE day!!!! How is this possible? In conclusion, I have been loyal and have stayed in your hotels every day since 02/14/2020. This promotion ran for 50 days, i was in your brands of hotels all 50 of those days, and i did not receive enough rewards points to even get a free night. If this is not false advertising then i'm not sure what is. I doubt i will give any future promotion/sale/deal a thought if this is how you treat your Diamond members
