Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos

About the Band

Category: Band
Music Genre: Blues, Funk, Rock, Soul

Formed in July, 2012 Anthony and the Conqueroos quickly made a name in the Local and National blues scene. Within days of forming, they won the local nomination, and represented the Natchel Blues Network in the 2013 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. With TONS of support from their quickly built local following, they made it all the way to the Semi Finals. No small feat for a band only months old ~ on their first trip to Memphis! The band released "Live at Tegu" and are working on a full length release for later this year. With Major Festivals booked for the near future and a spot in the 2014 International Blues Challenge representing the Blue Ridge Blues Society, there is no sign of things slowing down anytime soon. The band mixes blues with heavy doses of funk, rock, and jam band influences. If modern blues with a no holds barred drive is your thing, you must check this out!

Featuring Guitar and Vocals by Anthony Rosano, Paul Warren on Bass, Jack Campbell on Harp, and Scott Smith on Drums ~ they blend a unique style of Funk and Rock and Roll heavily steeped in the Blues tradition. Drawing on varied influences they seamlessly blend these elements into a style that is New and Exciting with the nostalgic feel of classic rock.

Live performances flow from straight ahead Delta blues through 60's Bay area jams into Crescent city second line funk. With a band of musicians this diverse you can cover a lot of ground ~ they also write strong songs with instrumental hooks and lyrics that speak with emotion and depth. Constantly evolving, The CONQUEROOS are always pushing each other to new horizons. Instead of the same formula night after night, The CONQUEROOS will often try new arrangements augmented by inviting out guest musicians. Tweaking the recipe just right for a new show every time. One sure thing you can expect at a CONQUEROOS show is you will leave knowing you just got 100% from the band and can't wait for the next experience... and that's what it is all about not just listening to music but feeling it, so it is a true experience.

Check them out at their next show in Virginia Beach.

I went home still humming this song! Fantastic show, Guys 🎸

Man, I Love your take on this ! You now own this version... well done !

GREAT show last night!!! I should have asked for a shirt when Gary & Karen got theirs but it was starting to rain and I didn't want to keep you from getting your gear secured. Maybe you could put aside one for me and I'll buy at next show? Ladies xl tank would be awesome. Thanks and see you at a show real soon!

It was awesome !

First off, Pete Federico, great video! Second, as a big Beatles fan, I'm generally not a fan of covers of their tunes. This may be blasphemous, but I can't stand the Aerosmith version of this song and I love Joe "Effing" Perry. But this, this is on another level and how tight is this trio here? Still exploring your music after becoming a fan at the Bristow show with Bob. Becoming more of a fan every day. Great stuff!!

Outstanding. Not just a cover.

I love this song. Even though I grew up on the Jersey shore things were very similar. Plus I spent a couple of weeks for several summers in Suffolk County so a lot of the places are familiar to me.

That’s GREAT pretty sure you did the rite thing by doing music full time thanks for all the hard work 👊

Love, love ,love this song and it still makes me tear up

Most excellent! Long way from the Camel.

Wicked Cool!
