EVENT DESCRIPTION

The sounds of rock, jazz, country, R&B, and more flood the Virginia Beach oceanfront for three sun-filled days over Labor Day Weekend at the American Music Festival.  One of the largest outdoor music events on the East Coast, the American Music Festival brings together national, regional, and local acts to play on a gigantic stage erected on the beach at 5th Street, as well as stages in all the parks along the boardwalk.  Just about every music genre is included, proving that there truly is “something for everyone.”

At the American Music Festival, the giant 5th Street main stage on the beach – featuring national recording artists – is the anchor.

Additional boardwalk “side stages” are located at 13th, 22nd, and 27th Streets, and feature local artists.

I don’t like how far back you are if your not vip. Look at all the empty space.

This was the worst ever. It went from a celebration to SHOW US THE MONEY! Use to be a small fenced area around the stage for those who paid and everyone else just outside the fenced area. Now, if you don't pay, you sit 200 to 300 yards away from the stage and the majority of that yardage is occupied by nothing. If it were for those who would pay $25, I guess no one paid the $25. Not only are you that far away, they put the porta johns in a position so you can't even see the stage. The beach use to be lined with vendors with food and drinks but now nothing but a couple near the stage. Goo Goo Dolls where great as always. 😈😈

Sad I missed it but wouldn’t have been happy with this set up . So far back? It’s like they are corralled like livestock back there .
