EVENT DESCRIPTION

The sounds of rock, jazz, country, R&B, and more flood the Virginia Beach oceanfront for three sun-filled days over Labor Day Weekend at the American Music Festival.  One of the largest outdoor music events on the East Coast, the American Music Festival brings together national, regional, and local acts to play on a gigantic stage erected on the beach at 20th Street, as well as stages in all the parks along the boardwalk.  Just about every music genre is included, proving that there truly is “something for everyone.”

At the American Music Festival, the giant 20th Street main stage on the beach – featuring national recording artists - is the anchor.

Additional boardwalk “side stages” are located at 17th, 24th, and 31st Streets, and feature local artists.

Is there a 2020 festival? Looks like this is the last post from the organizers so can't even blame it on the corona

Been going to va beach during labor day weekend for 18 years. This years line up needed more variety. It was not as crowded as it normally is on the beach at 5th street

Leslie Pumphrey this is the concert on the beach I was talking about

This was a great show and Vertical Horizon played like it was a sold out show! Unfortunately, there was absolutely zero publicity so most of the locals didn’t even know they were playing.

Jason Swain

Great show today!!

Vertical Horizon was outstanding! Thanks, Virginia Beach, for a great show. And free!! Amazing.

Doesn’t look like anybody’s there. Imagine that.🤔

What time does 311 start?

Where can I get single day tickets for tn

The directions are so confusing on the website. We have preferred tix for tonight, so where do we enter?

What stage is Vertical Horizon playing on Monday? The article in the Pilot says 31st street stage, but the Bandsintown app says 24th street. Just wanted to make sure I have the correct info.

I'm guessing 311 gonna start round 9 . Lee Brice started at 9 last night n he was the main event? Every thing will call , entrance, etc r all at or around 5th street

311 Rox , they’re a good show enjoy

When is the exact start for 311? Does anyone know?

Where is will call? First time going and just bought preferred tickets ? Also parking at meters still ?

Are the fireworks near 5th street will they go off again tonight?

Why can't I find specific tines for specific bands? I want to see blind boys of Alabama & moon taxi, but don't know what time they ate playing. I see a "show start" time, but not what time these bands play!

Yall might delete this comment but I'm gonna make my voice heard anyway. I stood by the 5th street entrance for 2 hours before gates opened then at 5 they tell me I have to go get a wrist band then once I've recieved the wrist band hand to go around to 7th street entrance and they weren't letting in yet, they finally did then I'm back at 5th and they are looking at my wristband like they dont know what it means, COMMUNICATION and ORGANIZATION aren't that hard

Another year of confusion. These events have so many issues year after year and usually only one or two bands worth hearing. You advertise daily tickets at $25 yet THERE IS NOWHERE to get such a ticket. And tonight people are standing at the gates giving away tickets. Sad, get it together.

If Lee Brice is headlining, about what time will he take the stage???

This used to be a great festival. We went every year for about 20 years and then in about 2013 the line-up quality of the bands went way down. This festival USED to have great bands such as Journey, Billy Idol, Steve Miller Band, Jamey Johnson, INXS, Stone Temple Pilots, B-52's and more. What happened? It is still a MUSIC festival isn't it? How many times have they scheduled the same bands like Train and 311? We used to come and stay all week from a different state for about 20 years just for this MUSIC festival but have not come in about 3 years because the line-up now STINKS! It is no longer worth spending a couple of thousand a year to attend this. Wish whoever used to be in charge of the line-up would take the job back over.

Megan Kiliti 😢

What time is Lee Brice preforming

Leslie Nicol we are staying a couple hotels down from here.
