Then, one day, the lockdown restrictions were lifted . . . . People went back to the places they had missed and spent time with friends and family there. They had picnics, played games and drank into the night. They were happy again. . . . . and the Earth wept" 🌎 🙈 (Jen Worsley)
Happy Earth Day! Even though, to us, every day is earth day. But, today is also Earth Connect's First Anniversary. Sadly, unlike Earth Days past, we can't celebrate the way we normally would -- with a forest bathing walk. So, instead, in the comments, we're including links of different Earth Day activities you can do at home. These are the sorts of activities that we've found to help with anxiety (aka soul loss). Enjoy and hang in there! We'll be out walking in nature with you again soon!
As we enter this new season of renewal -- new life, new possibilities -- here's something to consider . . . Perhaps the sanctity we feel and celebrate around this time, as Easter, Oestara or otherwise, is an expression of the inner knowing that all earth creatures are sharing the same experience. "Ecology, like community, requires a gaze attentive to connection." https://www.commonwealmagazine.org/cathedral-not-made-hands?fbclid=IwAR1-emE8dsmU7oPbCLkwsPmr0Jz-xaL_oUeTKjdZFYz0ZOCivFJkuojZaP8

You haven't noticed us posting lately 'cuz we're taking much needed relaxation vacay time this summer and are restructuring and reprioritizing a bit. We hope you're taking the time to do the same this beautiful summer season! Photo by Mihaly Koles @unsplash #earthconnectorg #summer #quotes #earthlovers #natureprograms #restandrelaxation #rejuvenate #timeforfun @earthconnectorg
What is it about summertime that just brings a joy to our hearts? The thought of spending more time with family? The plans for frolicking on the beach, camping in the woods, or just taking lazy walks through a meadow? It is the time of the year we allow ourselves more internal breathing room which, in turn, gives us permission to pay attention to ourselves and to others. We’d love to know — what makes summertime special to you? Photo by @han_o_photo on @unsplash . . #flowers #wildflowers #joy #dance #summer #summertime #quotes #earthlovers #natureprograms #restandrelaxation #rejuvenate #timeforfun #rest #relaxation #naturepill #health #earthconnection #healing #wholeness #expansiveness #earthconnectorg

Here's a sneak preview! This is going out into the Facebook Universe tomorrow, but we want you, our Earth Connect community (aka Earth Connectlings), to find out first! We've opened our online school as the first step in our education program. This experiential six-week course will teach you nature-based practices to alleviate stress and anxiety. This is based on the pilot program launching in the Fall. But, most of our Connectlings don't live in CA. So, this is one way to learn what we'll be teaching. For a very limited time, and for a very limited number of experiencers, we're offering the e-course at a 20% discount with the coupon code "20OFF". To find out more, go to the new Earth Connect Online! www.earthconnectonline.com (I'll post clickable link in the comments - Frances)

Earth Connect

"For the love of a tree..
She went out on a limb.
For the love of the sea..
She rocked the boat.
For the love of the earth..
She dug deeper.
For the love of community..
She mended fences.
For the love of the stars..
She let her light shine.
For the love of spirit..
She nurtured her soul.
For the love of a good time..
She sowed seeds of happiness.
For the love of the Goddess..
She drew down the moon.
For the love of nature..
She made compost.
For the love of a good meal..
She gave thanks.
For the love of family..
She reconciled differences.
For the love of creativity..
She entertained new possibilities.
For the love of her enemies..
She suspended judgment.
For the love of herself..
She acknowledged her worth.
And the world was richer for her."
